Day 61: Taking the tour

This beautiful lady makes wonderful company. She hardly ever complains about my photographic compulsions, and takes me to some wonderful places. She deserves a medal!

Today we explored the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Forum, with the assistance of Romaround Tours, who we would highly recommend. Roberto led us around the Colosseum, and could easily find a place in the world of stand-up comedy. We were then taken under the wing of a second guide called Mark Anthony (honestly), who went into extraordinary detail on Rome’s rather bloody history.

We walked several miles today, and I was incredibly grateful for the low weight of the Tamron.
