Day 353: No blank space wasted
I expect to find the odd bit of litter, or a name scratched in bark on a walk through the woods, but the industrious locals seem to be taking new measures to stamp their mark on the territory.

I have no idea what the metal spike shown here is, but I do have a pretty good idea of what it is going to cost. Mustn’t grumble too much though. As you can probably tell, this tire was due to be changed soon anyway. So I’m just grateful that it wasn’t one of the others.

A macro image for a wet and grey afternoon. I used a couple of small extension tubes for this one to get in closer and bring out the textures on the metal.

Day 267: Geodesic arch
Another of my experiments in paper. It’s a great medium for tonal work. This one was taken with no additional lenses or extension, so it’s another example of the focal length not being accurately represented by the EXIF data.

Not really, but the missus is teaching her class how to swim at the moment, so we have twenty five swimming caps drying out in our kitchen tonight.

I love to find old doors that have been left to cover up by undergrowth. You know that they can’t lead anywhere interesting, or they wouldn’t be left in that state, but you can’t help but find your imagination wandering when you look at them. Or maybe it’s just me.
