One thing I’ve always liked about home stores (possibly the only thing) is the lighting departments. You find the most fascinating array of things which can produce fantastic shapes and forms by the shadows they cast. This one reminds me of atomic structure. Perhaps this is because I’m reading Bill Bryson’s “A Brief History of Almost Everything” at the moment, which has a thought-provoking description opening chapter on the building blocks of all matter and the chance occurrence that is life.
